Hello friends,

I have been absent from my blog for maybe 6 years? Anyways, a long time.

A lot has happened in that time. In January of 2018. my Bill passed from a aneurism in his brain. No hope and was gone in 2 days.

Then in Febuary on the 7th of this year, my mother passed here at home. I was taking care of her. So I was alone for a few months when oldest son got a divorce and moved in with me. I have been trying to find my way with organization. All my craft supplies and all my fabrics are now in moms room. What a mess! Of course I can't find a thing!!!!

The picture of the quilts on the wall in my header is different. All of those are gone, Had the living room painted and wood floors put down.

I am sewing. But found my mojo in making journals and mini books. Papercrafting. 

Its late so will do more tomorrow if I remember. lol

Nice today. sunny and blue skies but the air is still cool from Lake Michigan.

I am making  baby quilt for sons niece. Its a boy so I used my Baby Go and cut 5" squares in assorted blues. Should come out pretty good! Only sewed one row together to get a feel for the width and with a tiny border it will be just great. Also the length will be good too.

Was expecting oldest to come or call yesterday as I told him I would take him and his wife out to dinner...No call or show. Then youngest said he would come one day this week to get the rider out and service it...Another no call and no show!!  I am alone for sure!!!!! That's ok as I have always said I was a loner, and now I can prove it...lol 

I will post pictures on my next post as then the little quilt should show some progress.

Also what is going on in my back yard too....Spring is here.......

Here it is 2018.....Just have not felt like keeping up this blog. Now I have more to talk about.

My hubby passed on Jan 19th of this year. I am adjusting slowly. Just now after 3 months starting to sew again. 

We or should I say, I have 2 more cats.....3 now with our big one being 9 yrs old and loves his sisters. They have taught him how to be a cat..no kidding, he tries to do what he sees them doing...too funny.

Been buying fabric from  www.fabric.com   and am using my casino wins for it. That has been fun too. Nothing coming from my monthly budget, just some extra stash I deposit when I order..lol

Yard work is starting. I am not fit enough to do too much or at one time. This old lady is going to be 80 in July but I don't dwell on numbers, just how my body feels....

Hello dear friends!! It has been a very long time and I am finally on my desktop. Don't have this blog on my tablet. Trying to wean myself from the tablet. So handy to use.
We have renovated the livingroom and kitchen floor. Martin layed flooring all the way thru of a barn wood look. Just love it..painted, put new blades on kitchen fan. Shorter ones as the others kept hitting cabinet doors if we didn't watch it..lol  Also found a nice rug that goes with the new couch. Don't have pictures on my desktop, just on the tablet.
Am working on 2 quilts at the same time. One is hand applique and the other is machine applique. The hand work is of whimsical fish and the other is of monsters.!!! Just a fun project. Not for anyone. Yet.
Kitties are growing. Now the calico, Maggie, who was the smallest is not the biggest, gets into things. You would think I had a 2 year old child.
Mother is over 100 now and still going. Her arthritis is really bothering her the last few days as she  is loaded with it doctor tells us. Change in weather and some rain and she is in pain in same spot.

It is now 2017. Been 4 years. Wow....I have a real good friend who lives in Houston and am worried something awful for her and family. Just have to wait till I hear from her I guess.

Bought a kit for one of the rowxrow free patterns that has 5 Volkswagons on it.....will do it tomorrow. I joined a mug rug a month but just signed up for the PDF ea month. Not the kit. Will give me something to make in one sitting.
